Diarthrosis: articulación que permite la movilidad libre de los dos huesos que la forman. Poseen cartílago articular o de revestimiento en ambas partes de la articulación.Son las más numerosas en el esqueleto. Se caracterizan y clasifican por la diversidad y amplitud de los movimientos que permiten a los huesos. En la anatomía de la cabeza hay dos tipos: ginglymus (bisagra) y la artrodia (deslizamiento).
