     Especialidad médica que se ocupa del estudio, diagnóstico y tratamiento de las alteraciones de la voz, el habla y el lenguaje.
 
   <(F.): Phoniatrie: spécialisation médicale étudiant la phonation (étude de la voix, de son mécanisme et de ses troubles). Ce terme ne doit pas être confondu avec celui d'élocution qui correspond à la manière de s'exprimer grâce à la voix. L'élocution c'est également l'organisation et l'articulation des mots, ainsi que celles des phrases.
 
   <(Ing): Phoniatrics: is a medical term used to describe the area of research into and treatment of the organs involved in speech production, speech habits and the science of speech. The mouth, throat (larynx), vocal cords and lungs all fall into this category. Speech disorders and vocal loading related problems are just a few of the problems researched and treated in phoniatrics.
