GAMETO.

 
   Cada una de las células sexuales masculina y femenina que al unirse en la fecundación forman el cigoto de las plantas y de los animales. Gameto masculino o espermatozoides y gameto femenino u óvulo.
 
   <(A.): Gamete: eine Fortpflanzungszelle oder Geschlechtszelle, die den haploiden Chromosomensatz enthält, Spermatozoon oder Samenzelle (männliche Fortpflanzungszelle) und Eizelle oder Ovum (weibliche Fortpflanzungszelle). 
 
   <(F.): Gamète: cellule spéciale sexuée, différenciée chez les métazoaires en g. mâle et en g. femelle, dont l'union formera l'ouf.
 
   <(In.): Gamete: a reproductive cell or sex cell that contains the haploid set of chromosomes, spermatozoon or sperm cell (male reproductive cell) and egg cell or ovum (female reproductive cell).
