<(A.): Laryngospasmus; Kehlkopfspasmus; Spasmus des Kehlkopfes: spastischer Verschluss des Kehlkopfes oder des Kehlkopfes. Wenn Spasmen auftreten, kann die Luft den Kehlkopf nicht richtig durchdringen. Kann bei Säuglingen, bei Tetanie oder Wundstarrkrampf auftreten. Verursacht durch abnormal niedrige Kalziumspiegel im Blut und kann bei schweren Fällen lebensbedrohlich sein.
<(F.): Laryngospasme: contracture involontaire des cordes vocales, survenant chez le nourrisson lors d’une maladie aiguë. Il provoque une asphyxie (coloration bleue de la peau et des muqueuses, locale ou généralisée, due à un manque d'oxygénation du sang). Il peut survenir par exemple : lors de l'utilisation de certains médicaments inhalés, à l'induction de l'anesthésie, chez le nourrisson au cours de maladies aiguës.
<(In.): Laryngospasm; Laryngeal spasm; Spasm of the larynx: spasmotic closure of the larynx or voice box. When spasms occur, air cannot pass through the larynx properly. May occur with infants, in tetany or in tetanus. Caused by abnormally low calcium levels in the blood and can be life-threatening if severe.
