En el embrión, membrana situada en el fondo del estomodeo separándolo del intestino primitivo. Compuesta por ectodermo y endodermo. Esta membrana se reabsorbe hacia la 4ª semana de la vida embrionaria, poniendo en comunicación intestino cefálico con el estomodeo ectodérmico. supone una comunicación el embrión con el exterior: boca primitiva o estomodeo. Sinónimos: membrana faríngea, membrana orofaríngea.
