NERVIO INTERMEDIARIO DE WRISBERG

                                                   

   Nervus intermedius: raíz sensitiva del nervio facial. Sale como independiente por el surco bulboprotuberancial, por fuera del facial y por dentro del auditivo. Junto con la raíz del nervio facial se dirige hacia el conducto auditivo interno, por el que penetran ambas. Recorren el acueducto de Falopio, donde se unen en la primera porción del acueducto de Falopio formando el ganglio geniculado.

   <(F.): Nerf intermédiaire, nerf intermédiaire de Wrisberg: c´est le nerf VII bis qui accompagne le nerf facial. Il est à destination sensitivo-sensorielle pour les deux tiers antérieurs de la langue, et pour les glandes sous -maxillaires, sublinguales, nasales, palatines et lacrymales.

   <(In.): Intermediate nerve: is the part of the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) located between the motor component of the facial nerve and the vestibulocochlear nerve (cranial nerve VIII). It contains the sensory and parasympathetic fibers of the facial nerve. Upon reaching the facial canal, it joins with the motor root of the facial nerve at the geniculate ganglion.
