Técnica radiográfica que obtiene una imagen tomográfica mediante la realización de una traslación rotatoria del tubo emisor de rayos X, confrontado con el chasis, manteniendo una distancia constante respecto a la zona a radiografiar. Es utilizado especialmente para el estudio de los maxilares y las arcadas dentarias. <(A.): Orthopantomographie: Röntgentechnik, bei der ein tomographisches Bild durch eine Rotationstranslation der Röntgenröhre, die dem Chassis gegenübersteht, unter Beibehaltung eines konstanten Abstands zu dem zu durchleuchtenden Bereich gewonnen wird. Sie wird insbesondere für die Untersuchung von Kiefer und Zahnbögen verwendet.
