BEKESY

 
   Georg von Békésy. Físico y fisiólogo húngaro nació en Budapest el 3/6/1899 y murió en Honolulu el 13 de junio de 1972. Obtuvo el Premio Nobel en el año 1961 por descubrir el mecanismo físico que se produce en la estimulación de la cóclea. Desarrollo un nuevo tipo de audiómetro (audiometría de Békésy) automanejado  por el propio paciente.

Er erhielt 1961 den Nobelpreis für die Entdeckung des physikalischen Mechanismus, der bei der Stimulation der Cochlea auftritt. Entwicklung eines neuartigen Audiometers (Audiometrie Békésy), das vom Patienten selbst verwaltet wird.
