DENDRITA

 

 

   Prolongación protoplásmica arborizada de una célula nerviosa. Inicialmente las bautizaron como cytodendritum, pero pronto se abrevió a dendritum o dendrite, en español dendrita.
 
   <(F): Dendrite: petit prolongement ramifié du neurone qui recueille les signaux électriques émis par d'autres neurones et les transmet vers le corps cellulaire.
 
   <(Ing): Dendrite: a long, branching outgrowth or extension from a neuron, that carries electrical signals from synapses to the cell body, unlike an axon that carries electrical signals away from the cell body. Each nerve cell usually has many dendrites. This classical definition, however, lost some weight with the discovery of axo-axonal and dendro- dendritic synapses.
