Efecto de un tratamiento (intervención) sobre los resultados, es decir sólo atribuible al efecto de la intervención. Los investigadores tratan de estimar el verdadero efecto del tratamiento utilizando la diferencia entre los resultados observados en el grupo de tratamiento y el grupo control.
