Fossa infratemporalis: pequeña depresión entre la tuberosidad del maxilar superior y la cara anterior de la apófisis pterigoides. Por arriba limita con el arco cigomático y la cresta esfenotemporal. Por abajo con el ángulo de la mandíbula a nivel la inserción del pterigoideo interno. Por fuera cara interna de la rama ascendente de la mandíbula. Por dentro con la apófisis pterigoides, la fosa pterigomaxilar y la faringe. Por delante con la tuberosidad del maxilar, y los músculos bucinador y constrictor superior de la faringe. Por detrás con la glándula parótida.

<(A): Fossa Zygomatica: Raum zwischen dem hinteren Rand des lateralen Flügels des Processus pterygoideus und dem Kamm, der vom Tuberculum malareum zur oberen Alveolarkante abfällt.
<(F): Fosse zygomatique: espace compris entre le bord postérieur de l'aile externe de l'apophyse ptérygoïde et la crête qui descend de la tubérosité malaire au bord alvéolaire supérieur.
