Solución de continuidad incostante en el suelo óseo del conducto auditivo externo, producida por deficiente cierre en su proceso de desarrollo y que normalmente esta ocluido hacia los 5 años de edad, pero puede permanecer de por vida. Facilita la propagación de infecciones entre el CAE y la parótida.
