NERVIO MASETÉRICO.

 
   Nervus massetericus: rama colateral del nervio mandibular. Después de haber suministrado algunos filetes a la articulación témporo-mandibular, penetra en la escotadura sigmoidea del maxilar inferior, al mismo tiempo que la arteria maseterina y llega a la cara profunda del músculo masetero, por donde se distribuye.
   Sinónimos: nervio maseterino.
 
   <(A.): Nervus massetericus: Ursprung: anteriorer Stamm des Nervus mandibularis. Verlauf und Verteilung: Dieser Nerv ist ein Ast des anterioren Truncus mandibularis des N. trigeminus. Er verläuft seitlich oberhalb des lateralen Pterygoids, vor dem Kiefergelenk. Anschließend tritt er in die tiefe Fläche des Kaumuskels ein, den er versorgt. Er gibt auch einen Ast zum Kiefergelenk ab. Verzweigungen: Muskuläre Äste und Gelenkast zum Kiefergelenk. Wurzel: motorischer Nukleus des N. trigeminus im Boden des 4. Ventrikels an der oberen Pons.
 
   <(F.): Nerf masséter: branche collatérale du nerf mandibulaire. Après avoir fourni quelques filets à l'articulation temporo-mandibulaire, elle pénètre dans l'encoche sigmoïde de la mâchoire inférieure en même temps que l'artère mastérine et atteint la face profonde du muscle masséter, où elle est répartie.
 
   <(In.): Masseteric nerve: origin: anterior trunk of mandibular nerve. Course and distribution: this nerve is a branch of the anterior trunk of the mandibular division of trigeminal nerve. It passes laterally above the lateral pterygoid, in front of the temporomandibular joint. It then enters the deep surface of the masseter, which it supplies. It also gives a branch to the temporomandibular joint. Branches: Muscular branches and articular branch to temporomandibular joint. Root: motor nucleus of trigeminal nerve in the floor of the 4th ventricle at the upper pons.
