Engrosamiento ectodérmico del embrión humano que se forma hacia la tercera semana, a cada lado de la región rombencefálica, por encima del primer surco branquial. Posteriormente se invagina para formar el otocisto o vesícula ótica que será el origen del oído interno. Sinónimos: placoda ótica.
<(A): Auditiver Placode; ektodermale Verdickung des menschlichen Embryos, die sich etwa in der dritten Woche bildet, in der rhombencephalen Region auf beiden Seiten, oberhalb der ersten Kiemenfalte. Später dringt es ein und bildet die Otokyste oder otic vesicle, die den Ursprung des Innenohrs bilden werden.
