AGUJERO DE MAGENDIE

 
   Apertura mediana ventriculi quarti: agujero que pone en comunicación el IV ventrículo con un amplio espacio subaracnoideo, denominado cisterna magna o cisterna cerebelomedular. Fue descrito por el médico bordeles François Magendie.
   Sinónimos: Foramen de Magendie.
 
   <(F.): Trou de Magendie: orifice situé en arrière du cervelet, seule communication entre les cavités épendymaires et les espaces sous-arachnoïdiens.
 
   <(In.): Magendie's foramen: median aperture of fourth ventricle: a deficiency in the lower portion of the roof of the fourth ventricle through which the ventricular cavity communicates with the subarachnoid space; called also foramen of Magendie.
