Aqueductus cerebri: estrecho conducto que recorre el mesencéfalo y que comunica el tercer ventrículo cerebral con el cuarto ventrículo.

   Sinónimo: Acueducto cerebral, acueducto del mesencéfalo.

 

   < A.): Zerebraler Aquädukt, sylvianischer Aquädukt: befindet sich innerhalb des Mesencephalons, enthält Liquor und verbindet den dritten Ventrikel im Zwischenhirn mit dem vierten Ventrikel im Bereich des Mesencephalons und Metencephalons, dorsal zu den Pons und ventral zum Kleinhirn. Der Aquädukt hat die Aufgabe, den dritten und vierten Ventrikel zu verbinden und den Fluss des Liquors durch diese Bereiche zu gewährleisten.

 

   <(F.): Aqueduc Sylvius, aqueduc du mésencéphale: est le canal qui permet le passage du liquide céphalo-rachidien entre les troisième et quatrième ventricules cérébraux.

   <(In.): Cerebral aqueduct, Sylvian aqueduct: is within the mesencephalon, contains cerebrospinal fluid, and connects the third ventricle in the diencephalon to the fourth ventricle within the region of the mesencephalon and metencephalon, located dorsal to the pons and ventral to the cerebellum. The aqueduct functions to connect the third and fourth ventricles and to ensure the flow of cerebrospinal fluid through these areas.
