NERVIO MENTONIANO

              
   Nervus mentales: rama terminal del nervio alveolar inferior que sale de la mandíbula por el agujero mentoniano y se divide en numerosas ramas terminales destinadas a la mucosa y a la piel del labio inferior y del mentón.
 
   <(A.): Nervus mentalis: ein Ast des Nervus alveolaris inferior, der im Mandibularkanal entspringt und durch das Foramen mentale zum Kinn und zur Unterlippe verläuft. Verlauf und Verteilung: Es handelt sich um einen Endast des Nervus alveolaris inferior, der am Foramen mentale aus diesem entspringt. Er entspringt unter dem Depressor anguli oris und teilt sich in drei Endäste. Diese sind kutane Äste zur Haut des Kinns. Äste: nur kutane Äste. Wurzel: Die sensorische Wurzel stammt von den sensorischen Kernen, die vom spinalen Trigeminuskern aus der Substantia gelatinosa der oberen Halsregion zum Mark ziehen, und dem pontinen Kern, der im Boden des 4. Ventrikels liegt. Dieser erstreckt sich bis zum mesenzephalen Mittelhirnkern von V.
 
   <(F.): Nerf mentonnier: branche du nerf alvéolaire inférieure sort de la face postérieure de la mandibule par le foramen mentonnier. Cet orifice se trouve à l’aplomb de la prémolaire inférieure, aisément repérable au doigt. Le point de ponction se trouve à 1 cm en dehors du foramen. Une fois la peau franchie, l’aiguille sera dirigée en bas et en dedans toujours avec le même désir de ne pas réaliser l’injection en intracanalaire. 2 ml de solution anesthésique seront alors injectés. Cette infiltration simple permettra la réalisation de la chirurgie de la lèvre inférieure et du menton.
 
   <(In.): Mental nerve: a branch of the inferior alveolar nerve, arising in the mandibular canal and passing through the mental foramen to the chin and lower lip. Course and distribution: this is a terminal branch of the inferior alveolar nerve which springs from that nerve at the mental foramen. It emerges under the depressor anguli oris and divides into three terminal branches. They are cutaneous branches to the skin of the chin. Branches: only cutaneous branches. Root: sensory root is from the sensory nuclei extending from the spinal nucleus of trigeminal from the substantia gelatinosa of the upper cervical region to the medulla, and the pontine nucleus which lies in the floor of the 4th ventricle. This extends to the midbrain mesencephalic nucleus of V.
