Los términos anatómicos fascículo, haz y tracto se utilizan de manera indiferente, no obstante en general el término tracto se utiliza para denominar a un conjunto de axones que circulan por el sistema nervioso central. Cuando un conjunto de axones circulan formando parte del sistema nervioso periférico se denomina nervio.
